"IMMERSY" is an independent design brand that focuses on the design of knitted sweaters. Designer Yuki and founder Niki grew up in Hong Kong and have a strong attachment to Hong Kong. This season was inspired by the nostalgia of Hong Kong and captured the unique urban elements of Hong Kong such as motorcycles, neon lights, streets, and old houses. Incorporating Hong Kong's living record from the 1980s to the 1990s, knitting was used as a carrier of emotional expression to bring us this season — back to HK in 1988.
The story began in Hong Kong in 1988. Founder Niki followed his parents to a strange environment in Hong Kong. Under a totally different cultural background and language, he started a life of 'new Hong Kong people'. The various achievements she has experienced during her growth have been unique to her today. The hard-working and enterprising spirit is the commonality of most Hong Kong people in the 1980s. Until now Niki has maintained these 'habits'.
The 1980s was the heyday of Hong Kong's film scene and also a period of economic development. The streets of Hong Kong are prosperous, crowded, and have many signs. Shek Tong Tsui, located in Western District of Hong Kong, belongs to an area that Hong Kong developed earlier. The Niki who waits for it will go to the Shek Tong Tsui Market every day to purchase. Today, the aunt who sells fruits on the street is still there. It has not changed in more than 20 years. The bit by bit of life, the minute and second of time, all exude a strong Hong Kong flavor.
Niki's factory has been open for 13 years. It is a firm love for Hong Kong that allows her to continue. Niki and designer partner Yuki officially launched the knitted designer brand in March 2015. Niki's high requirements on process quality combined with the high maturity of Yuki's knit design have resulted in the current IMMERSY. This is also a high degree of cooperation, so that the design of IMMERSY is not only full of Hong Kong taste, but also integrated into the The deep understanding of women, she is elegant, casual and changeable.
