MARIMEKKO's 50th Anniversary Equality means everything

In 1968, an era of reformers, brave passion and ideas began to rise and fall. The fierce struggle for equality was also spreading to the fashion world. Marimekko designer Annika Rimala created Tasaraita, a new symbol of the age of gender equality.

Equal distance stripe represents the pursuit and perseverance of Finns, and the classic blue and white is just like the Finnish flag. This design is also known as the Finnish national treasure, and there have been stamps.

Since then, the Tasaraita stripe pattern has become a brand classic, and is an integral part of the Jersey series. Across the gender, age, and ethnic boundaries, it is a symbol of equality for Marimekko; it was first presented on a cotton textile fabric during the 50th anniversary.

As the co-founder and editor of the website, TEDxTalks speaker, New York's internationally renowned fashion influencer, Cipriana Quann, is wearing the Marimekko Spring-Summer 2018 Tasaraita series.

Cipriana Quann was encouraged when he talked about equality, trust and rights. In the film, she wore the 50th anniversary of our celebration and symbolized the equal Tasaraita pattern costume. Since 1968, Tasaraita's stripes have been promoting equality. Until today, this information is still the most important.
